About Simon Marrington

Simon has over twenty years of public and private-sector managerial experience in the UK forest industry. He has an in-depth understanding of the natural flood management agenda, having previously coordinated the delivery of Defra’s innovative land management project ‘Slowing the Flow at Pickering’.
Simon has a comprehensive knowledge of current national and regional grant funding opportunities available to landowners, including new income streams available from the sale of woodland carbon. He also has experience of delivering large scale operational forest management programmes, commercial Christmas tree production and the management of trees and woodlands on golf courses. Simon now leads on seeking out business opportunities and meeting the needs of new clients for Tilhill throughout North and Central England.
