Diversification - Breathing life and value into rural places and spaces

About Dani Kilsby-Steele and Louise Newton

Dani Kilsby-Steele – Dani is a qualified rural Chartered Surveyor specialising in the management of private estates, including the day-to-day management and the overarching strategic objectives. As part of her work, Dani is always looking at new ways to diversify, to generate new income streams and to spread risk. Dani has been involved with a range of projects from obtaining planning permission for horse racing facilities, holiday accommodation, and small and large-scale housing projects.

Louise Newton – Louise Newton is a Rural Chartered Surveyor specialising primarily in rural development, diversification and planning matters. Louise undertakes a variety of planning work ranging from small individual projects to long term strategic planning for farms, estates, equestrian and rural premises. She has a wealth of experience in agricultural permitted development, with a particular focus on the change of use of buildings from agriculture to residential and commercial uses.

Now more than ever, there is a growing need to diversify. We will show you how to identify opportunities to utilise your existing land and buildings, whilst also considering the wider strategy of your holding, finding innovative and viable solutions in both the short and longer term.

We will discuss projects where we have obtained challenging and unusual planning consents, adding value and creating alternative means of income.
